In 1987, he met Dutch model Rosalie van Breemen while shooting a video clip and started a relationship. They had two children, Anouchka (1990) and Alain-Fabien (1994) before their relationship ended in 2001. He still lives in a superb white villa in the community of Chêne-Bougeries in the chic suburb of Geneva Switzerland.

There are many other celebrities, people from the high society, entrepreneurs and sport stars who choose to live in Switzerland.

Of course megastar Alain Delon had many other relationships before he met the Dutch model. He was engaged to actress Romy Schneider in 1958 who is still very popular in Europe from the movie "Sissy". In 1963, after they decided to break the engagement, he married Nathalie Barthélemy the following year and from whom he had a son. His longest relationship was with French actress Mireille Darc.

Like so many other celebrities and entrepreneurs, he came to Switzerland foremost for the tranquility and security - - and not for the very low taxes. They count to some even as very advantageous because of the friendly tax authorities which negotiate with pleasure a tax agreement for them. Like the singer Charles Aznavour once said when ask why he moved to Lake Geneva. The air is pure, the surroundings are delightful and one can lead here an unobtrusive life.

Alain Delon who became the sex symbol of the French cinema back in the 60’s and 70’s was born on November 8th 1935 in Sceaux, Haute-de-Seine. His parents, called Fabian and Edith, got divorced when he was only four years old. He lived a very difficult infancy during which time he got expelled from various colleges.

In 1952 at the age of 17, he entered the French army as a parachutist and fought for the marines in Indochina. On his return, he was employed in various jobs as a butcher’s helper, salesman and waiter before he came, together with his friend Jean-Claude Brially to the 1957 Canne Film Festival. That same year he made "Quand la femme s’en mêle" under the direction of Yves Allegret. That movie started his career and would see him making more than 87 films under the guidance of cinema’s most famous directors.

He acted in a few movies before he shut to stardom in 1960 for his performance in Plein Soleil (Purple Noon). Afterwards he became noted fast in the movie industry for such big hits as Mélodie en sous-sol (Melody in Basement), Le Samourai, Le Cercle rouge (The Red Circle) and Rocco et ses Freres (Rocco and his Brothers).

In 1978, he formed his own company in Geneva under the name Alain-Delon Diffusion SA Company. The 73-year-old actor still continues to run his company from Geneva but travels frequently to Paris to pursue his acting career.

In 2005, he was treated for heart problems in the hospital and made the headlines when he declared that he is fighting loneliness and talked about suicide. Today, he lives with several house animals withdrawn on Lake Geneva, Switzerland. Even a star like Alain Delon can get depressed and feel tired when everything suddenly falls apart at once, when his time passed by too quickly, most of his late friends have died and the relationship of his family broke up.
