Ambience Welcome to the Beau-Rivage Palace, a worldwide leading Grand Hotel which was choosen in September 2006 by Gault Millau Switzerland as the best Hotel of the year. From the first moment on, you will feel like you are at home. The more than 140-year old hotel emits to his visitors a very special charm. Embedded in a four hectare park lies this wonderful 5-Star building directly on the north shore of Lac Léman, not far from the pulsating city center of Lausanne Switzerland. The look at the amusing mountain scenery tempts you to day dreamings. 
Reverentially one enters the hall, diving into long passing times as splendor for expression by luxurious and cool design were not invented yet. The rooms are majestic, the restaurants and halls impress with its generosity. In the spell of this nostalgia were attracted among others also Victor Hugo, Charlie Chaplin, Coco Chanel or Gary Cooper and many others. In fact, few other Lausanne hotels accommodated more of the high society and celebrities in Switzerland than the Beau-Rivage Palace. More still amazes the look in the new formed "Cinq Mondes Spa" of the hotel: dark-brown wood, black granite and white porcelain brought together in clear lines to a harmonious whole. The idea of the offered treatment mix lies in the variety of the five continents. Thus, for example Japanese massage technologies, European sauna worlds and African water therapies lead to an all-around Wellness experience. The besides applied High-End-Cosmetic exists of purely vegetable ingredients. 
Six private treatment rooms, three exclusive day Spa-suites and the generous swimming-pools make desire in becoming beautiful and relaxed. However to a perfect relaxation always belongs good food and I mention and highly recommend the restaurant "La Rotonde" as a highlight. 
This famous gourmet restaurant was distinguished only recently for its select creations with a Michelin star. Not to be forgotten is the excellent wine cellar of the Beau-Rivage Palace which also impresses the most demanding wine lover with its 600 wine sorts and more then 75,000 bottles.The Beau-Rivage Palace has gone with the time and has developed according to the philosophy "La tradition en mouvement" to a Grand Hotel of today. The elegantly furnished 169 rooms - of it 33 suites - were new equiped within the scope of a renovation. On a walk one meets over and over again historical elements, combined with contemporary hotel culture, like for example the Spa Cinq Mondes. Services & Amenities The service at the Beau-Rivage Palace runs off with incredible natural professionalism. All the movements are so perfect as if one looks into the works of a "Grande Complication" of a Patek Philippe watch. In other words, it runs like a Swiss clock. Because from the moment of settling into the room (crib, chest of toys, DVD's...) to the various learning and discovery activities (floral workshops, pastry classes, treasure hunts throughout the hotel...) or the supportive services available (special menus, babysitting, skiing trips...), nothing is left to chance in order to guarantee a stay that families will never forget. The hotel caters for babies through to teenagers... There is no age limit in order to feel at home at the Beau-Rivage Palace! Rates Single room Double room Junior suite What I Find Good: The "Cinq Mondes" is very selective with the choice of the therapists. Only people with a healthy intuition and "just the right touch" - the right pressure at the right places, are hired. What I Don't Find that Good: The calculation of the formidable wine-list doesn't necessary stimulate to excesses.
