The formal main dining place is the imposing "Grand Restaurant" where guests, when dressed appropriately for the stylish ambience, come to enjoy their half-board 6-course evening meal or a sumptuous breakfast buffet. The tradition is that gentlemen wear a jacket and tie in the evening and for gala evenings and special dinners a dark suit or black tie. A typical Italian restaurant is the "The Pizzeria", with décor in the style of a traditional trattoria where you get served the delicacies from the south of Switzerland's border. The pizzas are baked in a real wood-fired oven. The "Altitude Bar" is a popular place for guests to enjoy their nightcaps, and fills up earlier in the evening with people who appreciate a fine after-dinner drink to the gentle accompaniment of live piano entertainment. The "Sunny Bar" is a Kulm Hotel legend. In the wintertime, it is the place for the high society and celebrities who come here for decades. Rates Single rooms What I find good In this mark's stone of the "Swiss Grand-hotellerie" one can dream himself into another time. However, the Kulm Hotel makes still discreetly clear that we have arrived in the third millennium. What I don't find that good The distances, which the guest walks from his suite to the restaurant or to the Spa are sometimes surely big and partially lead through endless halls seeming a little bit strangely.
