Lucerne Switzerland - The Prettiest Swiss City


Interesting buildings, the impressive pre-alpine scenery, the "Vierwaldstättersee" - Lucerne Switzerland is simply beautiful! It is no wonder that the jewel in the centre of Switzerland belongs to the most traveled cities in the world. The "Rosengart" is a unique collection of more than 200 works of 23 different artists. It is the youngest museum of the town of Lucerne Switzerland and owes its big meaning to both unique work groups of Paul Klee and Pablo Picasso.

In 1872, geologists discovered the glacier garden, which is among the oldest and most famous natural wonders. Protected from wind and rain, you will stroll through the original excavations and witness geology come to life from the subtropical Palm Beach to the glacier world of the Great Ice Age. Geology clearly reveals with scientific wall paintings and a slide show.

The museum exhibits many historical treasures from Lucerne and central Switzerland in the rooms of an old house. Of unique cultural interest are the collection of Alpine relief maps and a model of the city of Lucerne Switzerland in 1792.

The "Alhambra and a nature-oasis" is a legendary hall of mirrors, a puzzling, fascinating and beautiful turn of the century labyrinth. In 1896, Lucerne Switzerland bought the labyrinth from the national fair in Geneva. The garden of alpine plants and ferns, the lookout tower and the large terrace will invite you to relax or enjoy a picnic. Next to the museum and labyrinth of mirrors is the Lion monument.

The restaurant Adler is Lucerne's best gourmet address in the last decades. Lucerne's gourmets have not yet discovered this fine restaurant. It is located about 25 minutes to the north-west of Lucerne Switzerland in a small town called Nebikon.

The restaurant is closing on Mondays and Tuesdays, two weeks during carnival in February and three weeks in July/August.

The Thai Garden is one of the best Asian restaurants in Switzerland. The entire brigade of Thai Chef Kamhaeng Narongkul is from Thailand and working hard to spoil even better the guests. "Satays", spiced with curry, coriander, and garlic or with his excellent Panaeng curry with beef.

The Thai Garden is closing Saturday- and Sunday afternoon.
