Even we as scenery spoiled Swiss breath deeply when we arrive at the Park Hotel Vitznau with its top accommodation. It counts as one of the last dozen of those "Swiss Grand hotels" which saved itself with all attributes of distinguishment to the present.

The city of Lucerne is only 30 minutes of the resort. Zurich International Airport is one hour, the EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse one and a half hours and Geneva International Airport three and half hours from the Park Hotel Vitznau. There are also boats leaving from the city of Lucerne which takes about fifty minutes to get there. Activities, Entertainment and Attractions nearby For active leisure activities, the hotel offers motor boats for water skiing, bicycles and more than one hundred kilometres (sixty miles) of hiking trails. If you are into golfing, there are about nine 18-hole golf courses close to the Park Hotel Vitznau. The closest 18-hole golf course is at the nearest Golf Club in Küssnacht which is both diverse and challenging for beginners as well as for handicap players. The Park Hotel Vitznau 10-Stars Golf Tournament takes place every year in mid June. The hotel offers 69 luxuriously appointed double rooms which are decorated in soft and pastel colours. The spacious bathrooms are enriched with white and rose marble. The 25 junior suites and 7 suites provide additionally spacious lounge areas and are air conditioned. Of course, all rooms and suites have a private balcony and terrace and provide a fantastic view to the Mount Rigi and Lake Lucerne. There are also king-size, French- or twin beds available and on request connecting rooms for families. Dining The restaurant "Quatre Cantons" offers an innovative Mediterranean cuisine. The GaultMillau guide honoured it with 16 points not just for its very good gourmet cuisine but also for its excellent service. It is a perfectly located place for special à la carte dining with the garden terrace situated directly on the shore of Lake Lucerne. The elegant "Panorama restaurant" specializes more in an outstanding, international cuisine and with an unforgettable view to the Swiss Alps and the lake below. The "Pool Terrace" offers plain meals and specialties from the grill as well as a large selection of summertime snacks. Of course, the place to meet people during the day or at night is at the bar. It can become kind of romantic enjoying coffee with cake, cocktails, drinks or some other beverages by the fire place overlooking the lake. The live piano music starts every evening at 18:30. Services & Amenities The reception and service in the Park Hotel Vitznau could hardly be better. There is no trace of mass service to see. Hotel management students could learn here what individual hospitality with traditional background is. What I find good Not just the public rooms on the ground floor, but also the suites on the first and second floor provide delightfully generous ceilings. So if you are searching for that perfect weekend, consider lodging at the Park Hotel Vitznau. What I don’t find good Unfortunately, some rooms are furnished a bit too fleecily.
